                it appears to me that gbp offered cotto a deal, and expected cotto to accept said deal at some point. that doesn't sound like a negotiation to me, those are strong arm tactics. an ultimatum.

                    While I think Canelo was ****** for trying to force himself into May 2nd, I still think he really wanted the fight, has wanted it for a while, while Cotto is just trying to get the best deal he can get on a potential career ending fight. Don't get me wrong, I think Cotto has a good shot, but he has taken a lot of damage over the years and lost to Trout not too long ago. I will always respect Cotto, but I dislike how relevant he has made the whole "A side vs B side" argument, why can't fighters negotiate on relatively even grounds, does one fighter have to completely **** the other one when it comes to negotiations? What's worse is you have ******s who would rather see Cotto "flex his A-side muscle", than seeing a very good fight come to fruition.
