It's the return of the '70s golden era where a murican always has the title because 100 superior foreign fighters were simply overlooked for lack of marketability.

One of the biggest question marks in the annals of boxing history is how would Valuev, Maskaev, Chagaev, Liakhovich, and Ibragimov have fared vs. Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe.

Its a good match up. You can't have #1 fight #2 all the time. From the current crop of HW right now it is a good fight

Frazier lost an athletics tournament to a race car driver in his prime, it's rather insulting to the sport to imply that he could last a round with a modern professional athlete.

But your avatar and sig and all that says it all.

"Pow pow! Ali is my HERO! He's American just like ME! I look just LIKE him! Those damn commies wouldn't stand a chance! USA! Aw boy wipe your ass with my face Greatest!"

Because its been an eternity since Americans were relevant in the HW division?

I agree. Even though a 46-year old Holyfield beat Valuev, I am interested in seeing how a 35-year Holyfield would have fared.

No HW boxer from the 70's would have had any competitive hope whatsoever...

                Just look at them..

Guys like Wilder and Arreola and Thompson would have steamrolled previous eras like that!

You yanks trash your own good fighters at the expense of praising the ones you had on top 40 years ago.

                Pathetic!

                Absolutely pathetic!

Didn't Sergio Martinez start boxing at the age or 20 (and there are probably many more like him) ? Not that i disagree that the division is bad but your argument fails.

Whoever wins would have been able to stop Frazier faster than Foreman did.

Can you imagine how primitive Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe would have looked vs. the sublime, new-age combination of size, skill, and speed exhibited by Chris Byrd, John Ruiz, and Eddie Chambers?
