Negotiations shouldn't take this long. Cotto's won his last 2, but he's won against a club fighter in Rodriguez and an obviously broken Martinez, he's lucky to be in the position he's in right now! Cut the **** Cotto. You know you're One & Done if you climb in the ring with Canelo. Saul & Oscar have given you everything you want. The most money, the location for the venue, you get to come in the ring last, your name is first on all the promo. Floyd ain't giving you a rematch; all fans want out of Floyd is a fight with Pacquiao. Anyone else, won't sell ****, just like his last Maidana fight. Cotto, do you want to grow a sack and fight Canelo or would you rather find some weak link, like a rematch with Sergio Martinez now 41??? This posturing bs is what's bad about Boxing. Cotto fans will say he earned the right. Earned the right to stall???? You either want to fight and prove you're the best, or you don't. I do understand though, the longer Cotto stalls, the longer he calls himself Champ. Sunday after a Canelo fight, he's a beaten down Cotto at the hands of Canelo.

You're Phukkin ******. Cotto isn't getting another fight with Floyd. Canelo and Cotto can agree to terms to fight. If Manny & Pac fight May 2, Oscar already said he'd move the Cotto-Canelo fight to June. It's no big Phukkin deal. Fights get moved all the time. Cotto isn't stalling to see if he gets Floyd or to see what Floyd is going to do. Cotto is stalling because he isn't certain he can best Canelo; the same problem Floyd has with Pacquiao. Cotto loses to Canelo if the fight happens and Cotto gets knocked cold unifying with Gennady, and Cotto would NEVER take that fight.

every day I come to boxingscene to see if Cotto-Canelo or May-Pac is made. Everyday I leave disappointed.

This post got to me. I do the same thing, they got me hooked. I hope one of these fights gets made, id prefer the cotto-canelo fight

Well I think it's obvious they should wait and see if the Mayweather Pacquiao fight happens because if it does it would be aabsolutely ******ed to have the fight on May 2nd. Whoever on either side or both sides whatever need to realize that. They don't need to look for other opponents simply wait, and then determine the date.

I think that the days when Cotto was thought to represent a viable "B plan" for Mayweather are gone... After all the hype, if May-Pac doesn't happen there would be little interest for May-Cotto at 155 by now.
Cotto should ask Canelo for a big (but reasonable) purse, get his payday and put an end to this ****** situation with him as "lineal champ" at 160.
