But it may not be for another couple of years, he looked very good in his last fight.
I think Wladimir will retire when he feels like it and that he doesn't have it anymore. He'd rather make a fight ugly without letting his opponent any chance like against Povetkin than let anybody beat him and put an end to his reign.

Dude, you do realize Wilder is a football/basketball player right? Should he win tomorrow, he will prove what we've been saying all along. Jennings is another example, it's not simply a coincidence.

Wilder better bring his helmet then.
And no, Wilder's not a basketball player, i've seen a video of him playing a friendly 1on1 against Toni Harrisson...

Football or Basketball backgrounds lend absolutely zero credence to HW boxing other than athleticism and height respectively.

There are no similarities in skillsets whatsoever!

And height is only a virtue for a skilled boxer who knows how to utilise it (which is developed via an early boxing pedigree).

And athleticism is one of the LEAST relevant virtures at HW proven by more successful chubbier and less athletic fighters than lean and athletic ones almost evenly.

You can only afford to be as athletic at HW boxing as you are tall, and you can compensate for your lack of height at HW by being heavy!

How many former basketball players and footballers have crossed over to boxing only to be wiped out at top level? Plenty! Because they ****ing suck at boxing!

What a ****** bloody argument, promoted ONLY by ridiculous American propagandists who can't win at boxing anymore!

Even if your Wilder wins, his reign is destined to be very short because he can't box and has no chin or stamina.

No i doubt he loses but if there is a dark horse i say it's fury. He is big, can box & is so unorthodox you can't really prepare for him. He fought rogan & chisora in the southpaw stance which was pretty impressive. He is unpredictable & seems to improve every fight but his biggest issue is his occasional lack of motivation...

He was planning on playing basketball or football at Bama, both sports are pretty interchangeable in college as guys often switch between the two. Football players generally play defense.rebound/box out and are raw offensive players.

A rematch with Povetkin could be interesting with a competent ref

So no. Not for a while.

I wonder if Povetkin would be in line for a WBC title shot since he's rated highly by them. Maybe a mando for the winner of Saturday's fight. The way Povetkin has fought lately, I think the whole division sans Wlad is in trouble.
I don't think "fight" is the appropriate word...

Well we'll see saturday if your theories are proved right.
