i was gonna say how the **** do you lose a tooth when you wear a mouthguard but yeah this is what happen if you wear a single mouth guard and dont have your mouth closed. you either get your jaw broken or you lose some teeth in the bottom if somebody lands a clean shot like that. but hey, floyd has enough money to replace his fake teeth with fake teeth again

Something definitely went flying from Floyd's mouth with that shot, it also appeared to be solid and spinning very fast so it likely wasn't "spit".

The picture of him crying to Bayless DOES show what appears to be a missing bottom tooth.

This has been discussed already. It was a tooth, not only do you see it fly, Floyd has a missing tooth there after that for the rest of the fight. Most likely it was a crown that got knocked. There were some very good HD photos showing the hole where his tooth should be. Either is a crown or the punch broke the top part of the tooth, but that tooth is missing after that punch.

Timely bump - I was just watching the replay of some of this fight last night. Maidana landed the punch he needed to, that should have changed the fight/series..but damn great chin. It didn't feel like it-but Floyd looked more damaged after the second fight than the first.

If only he had landed that shot earlier in the round.. it definitely wobbled Floyd (almost dropped him) but it was right at the end of the round and Floyd got to sit down and rest immediately after eating that shot. Things could have been very different, but then again I doubt Maidana could finish off Floyd with that stamina.
