Comments Thread For: Pascal: After Kovalev, I'd Love Carl Froch Rematch

Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs) is planning to explore every option possible - if he defeats WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs) on March 14th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Last month, the World Boxing Council ordered WBC champion Adonis Stevenson to face the Kovalev-Pascal winner. And Pascal may indeed go forth in that direction, but he's also very tempted to get revenge on the men who beat him - Carl Froch and Bernard Hopkins.

Revenging a loss is always a respectable goal, but after Kovalev Pascal will probably need some time off (and a truck load of pain killers). I still hope he can really push Kovalev though.

Is Roy Jones training Pascal for this one as well?

Before, saying Stevenson's name was a big thing, but being confronted to him, is another story.
The way Jean Pascal messed Stevenson name, he knows Stevenson can put him in deep coma.
Enough to interrupt his career, enough to have permanent cerebral damage.
Why saying Froch, which is in another category, why not following what the WBC wants.
Pascal has talk too much, and if he wins against Kovalev, his next fight against Stevenson will be his last.
            According to the emmergency doctor.

The first fight was Vegas and PPV worthy, a modern classic. However, I doubt Pascal will be in much of a position to demand a rematch after the Kov fight.

I'd pay good money for Froch-Pascal II. The first was an absolute war.

                    First fight remains a classic.

Absolute war with both guys simply eating bombs to land their own. Froch pulled away down the stretch, but it was immense.

Best fight either guy has ever been in.
