Russell don't deserve a shot he hasn't done anything.

No, it is not cool, but it is a part of reality in boxing. Loma didn't beat a top rated guy in his debut and he lost his second fight, which was a championship fight that he had no business participating in. Loma was UNDESERVEDLY GIVEN TWO TITLE SHOTS BECUASE HE WAS PART OF (POWERFUL PROMOTER) BOB ARUM'S STABLE! Being part of Al Haymon's stable will get Russell Jr. great opportunities that he doesn't deserve just as Loma received.

Russell Jr. wasn't fighting anyone, meaning that he didn't fight a single fighter in the top 15 in any sanctioning body's rankings before he fought Lomachenko for a world title. He lost to Lomachenko and hasn't fought a top 15 caliber fighter since then.

So, yes, it is a problem that he never fought a top 15 rated opponent before he fought for a first world championship and now he is fighting for a second world championship without having fought a top 15 caliber opponent except for the loss in the first championship fight he fought.

The same criticism applies to Lomachenko as well.

Yea and Loma did it in his second fight jumping past all those guys who were pros for years. Not really fair either

I don't mind the fight. Russell may be able to pitty pat his way to victory if Jhonny doesn't land something big.

I can see this as a fight where Russell has success early and Jhonny takes over late.
