I don't think it was a bad game plan at all. He got iced early by Matthysse. Swift is most dangerous early. He fades in the later rounds usually because of his weight cutting issues. He boxed circles around him early, then when Swift slowed down he took the fight to him.

I don't think it was a robbery because some could interpret the early rounds as "running," including judges. Still thought Peddy got the W.

Peterson lost the fight more than Garcia won it. I think LP could be given at least one or two of the first 6 though.

They're going to match Garcia carefully at WW. I can see Garcia vs. Berto happening, and even that fight presents a danger.

If he can somehow get to 140 again he should, because I don't see 147 being pretty for him.

haymon better step the **** up with pbc production value, it was fvkin dreadful. half the time u couldnt hear what was being said in the corner and on boxnation feed we heard the perterson fight result when they were tallying up the score.

Danny really needs to tighten up his defense. Guys with boxing skills make him look bad. Garcia would look good against guys like Matthysse, Provo, Rios, and Maidana. He'll always struggle with guys like Herrera and Peterson. I think Algeri could actually give him problems.

Garcia beat Matthysse, but the fight was close. He looks "better" against the pressure/brawler style, but that doesn't mean he'll beat that style everytime out. You can't have a faulty gas tank against Maidana/Ruslan/Rios. Something needs to be done about this stamina. He is who he is as a fighter: counter-puncher/brawler with relatively slow/flat feet, solid power and decent combination punching.

Fundamentals and athleticism are his biggest weaknesses.
