They were acting like scorned women. You think Miguel Cotto gives a **** about a May date and a vendetta? You have it right, they were more interested in trying to secure the date then they were making the fight.

Cotto is looking at the business end of the deal. Even if he doesn't get the offer from Floyd having those two cards on the same date will cause people to have to choose which fight they will order on PPV. It will hurt boxing more than it would help boxing. Those two fights need to be made and worst case Cotto and Canelo can fight in June no?

I think it's clear whats the hold up.

Like Pac had Vargas as a backup, Cotto was Mayweathers backup.

And Cotto is basically sitting aside to see what happens with Pac Vs May.
If the fight happens, he will sign the fight Vs Canelo.
At that point HBO or Goldenboy will more than likely reschedule it for a different date.

So to me this is good news in the May Vs Pac possible match, because it shows with the hold up Mayweather and Pac are in serious negotiations.

i believe cotto will end up fighting floyd. canelo will fight GGG, this mexican pride thing with chavez jr is still ongoing. froch facing junior puts pressure on canelo to face top opposition. la raza is talking about who is facing the better opposition.

If Canelo is that desperate for an opponent on May 2, I'm sure Triple G will be ready after annihilates his next opponent...

But instead Canelo is training for Clottey?
Yes - and I think it's a tad deeper, Cotto has been in this game a lot longer, peep his patience . Why sign for a fight when a bigger fight is getting negotiated for the same date? Cotto is not Mexican so he can care less about the date. Canelo's eagerness will be his downfall - love it how Mayweather steps in and regulates with the a voice from the media, his mere presence is disruptive enuff.

I agree as well if the fight falls through with Pacquiao.

And you think Goldenboy is going to put Canelo in with GGG immediately? I guess Canelo will get credit for taking the fight, because he ain't beating GGG.

He's not making it to the score cards so his darling judges can help him out, he'd be Ko'd.

Canelos stamina I honestly believe he couldn't improve much more. Because he started pro young he's been training 4/6/10 rounders instead of the amateur 3 rounders since he was a wee un, and the stamina should have been built up to a beasty level by now.
Dude also cuts crazy weight I'm sure he would do a bit better at middleweight

I would say this, GGG has not fought anyone that would suggest he could K.O. Canelo.

Canelo to his credit has fought the best boxers in his division, literally the best pure boxer on the planet so we know what his skill set is. The same cannot be said for GGG because his competition is low and all one can gather is that he gets hit a bunch and has tons of power.

Put him in there with the Floyds, Lara's, and Trouts of his division first then we can talk.
