I genuinely feel bad for Malignaggi. Can't be easy for him to have gone through life not knowing who is real daddy is. Poor lad's been battered so many times that only a paternity test can really settle the issue.

Personally, I lean towards Porter, though Hatton, Khan, Cotto, Ngoudjo & Cano are all in the running, too.

That was an extremely competitive fight that got stopped on a cut at the time that the momentum was clearly in Zaveck's favour, so that's not really a good example (not to mention that Berto could never be mistaken as "top competition" himself.)

Malignaggi as always offering some interesting and for the most part well-informed views. Is he even eligible to fight for the EBU belt? That would be really interesting to see Bundu vs Malignaggi for the belt in Italy as someone has said here already!

On a side note and genuinely not trying to bait anyone, but it always makes me laugh when American fighters/fans talk about fighters here not wanting to leave Europe, like Europe is a single country. A Brit fighting in Germany might as well be fighting on the moon, and would certainly have a better chance of scoring a win in the USA than Germany, so it's not fear of leaving Europe - more likely the opportunity/belt/better offer usually dictates where a fighter fights :-)

I never stated every single fighter from U.S. and Western Hemisphere fights cream of the crop and vice versa. We can all pick and choose examples, but I was talking about the overall picture.

There is also Fury who has stayed in U.K for the most part and fought good opposition by today's HW standards, so again not every single body.
