It's gotten to the point it is convenient to blame Floyd for anything, despite the circumstances.

Why would Ross lie? He had no dog in this fight and everything to gain by having this fight materialize!

He didn't lie. He said he had been negotiating with one person from each party trying to make a fight. Networks do that all the time. That's their job. Doesn't mean negotiations between parties are taking place. He said he spoke to both parties for two weeks and he hopes it happens one day. Far cry from what Arum was trying to insinuate.

Lost in shuffle of NBC announcement today is there is a critical meeting between HBO & Showtime as it relates to a Manny-Floyd joint PPV.

"Both times, the fight was very close to being made. And, the second time around, you know, all that I can say is that you would have to ask Floyd Mayweather why the fight wasn't made. To this day, I really don't know why Floyd decided that he didn't want the fight any more in the fall," Greenburg said.

"To this day, I don't know why he wanted to take some more time off. Only Floyd has that answer. I certainly don't have that answer. But, you know, it was very close. It was so, so, close. I think that it was so close that I don't think that it's going to take much to make the fight the third time around."

Bob Arum has done this before, he makes people think Manny and Floyd are fighting then he announces Manny is fighting someone else. Here we are again, keep Manny and Floyd's name in the same sentence, announce that Manny and Jessie Vargas are fighting in China.

I'm saying from multiple sources including khan's people that attempted to negotiate but failed, they all say pac-may negotiations has been going very far.

If it was Arum just saying this, THEN i wouldnt take it seriously.
But so far, Floyd has been silent. Why???

We've rehashed that quote a million times on here. Talking to the network and parties negotiating are two different things.

He flat out said that Floyd didnt want the fight and that you would have to ask him why the fight wasn't happening.

Doesn't get more clear than that.

We know he didn't. He said after the first negotiation and subsequent Mosley fight, **** him. But, getting back to the point, talking to the network isn't the same as parties negotiating.
