Over here it's always been light-welter, light-middle ECT, as in light-heavy. super,super middleweight would sound plain ****** & if the WBA had a super & regular champ, then it would be super,super,super middleweight. God my head hurts!

I prefer Light Middleweight over Super Welterweight. I also prefer Light Welterweight over Super Lightweight.

But if three/four bodies agree on it together then I'm down for it all.

I liked LMW, but also prefered JWW over LWW.

The wbc and wba always had the supers connected to their in between divisional titles ex.. the wbc and wba, super welterweight champion of the world floyd mayweather,

Ibf and wbo always had the junior attached to their belts..ex. the ibf jr. Middleweight champion of the world el feroz fernando vargas...and wbo jr. Welterweight champion mike alvarado... i like the jr.s titles better because there more old school...imo

When I was a kid I remember watching a fight for the junior welterweight title or something and thinking these guys look way too old to be juniors.

To casuals a name like Super WW makes the belt holder at that weight seem like a better champion than the one at WW. Same goes for names like Junior or Light. Being a "Light" Heavyweight would be synonymous with a D-League player in basketball.

For instance many people who know I watch boxing have asked what weight class Khan competes at, of course after being disappointed it is not HW (because of course everything below that is for guys who suck) I have to explain, he went from LWW to WW they think as if Khan has moved up in leagues kind of like Premier League has in football.
