See I've always thought the opposite. Using Jr. makes it seem like you are champion of a bigger division. While obviously the same, I feel like Jr. Middle is higher up than Super Welter. Also the WBA already has those ridiculous champions so this makes a guy like Danny Garcia the Super Lightweight Super Champion. I know, nitpicky, but it's always been my preference.Comment

Looks like I will have to quit saying "junior middleweight" and "light middleweight".
Should I say super welterweight WBA super Champion, or WBA super super welterweight champion.
Nothing matters until the WBA, WBC and the rest make moves to unify all the pieces and quit stripping any champion that wants to unify.Comment

You guys are making this thing bigger than it really is, besides most of the hardcore fans just dig deep into the welter and middleweight divisions.
Instead of Jr. Welterweight it's Super lightweight. (Danny Garcia - Lucas Matthysse - Ruslan Provodnikov - Possible Pacquiao future weight - 140lbs
Instead of Jr. Middleweight it's Super Welterweight. (Canelo Alvarez - Erislandy Lara - Demetrius Andrade - Charlo Bros - 154lbs
Anyway with the media and people calling it like it is now you'll get used to it, unless you a guy who's been watching hardcore boxing for over 20+ years.
Anyway Here in Mexico we use both terms Jr. Middeweight or Super Welterweight, Jr. Welterweight of Super LIghtweight.
BTW it's not Super Super welterweight, It's just Super welterweight. it's really not that hard.Comment

I like that although i would rather the title holder fight the #1 contender first.
-should he win he will be then elevated to "Champ" from "title-holder".
-after being recognized as the "Champ" he may be granted an "optional" defense against anybody ranked in the Top 10 or Unify with another "Champ"
-in the event we get a Unified Champion, said Unified Champ should defend strictly against a "Champion" and only defend against a #1 contender in the event of no "champion" before being granted an "optional" against anybody ranked in Top 10
And of course get rid of all of the other silly belts n titles(Super, interim, diamind...etc.)
IMO the titles would hold more weight structured this way and the champ would have respectable standardsLast edited by wlliam; 01-13-2015, 04:31 PM.Comment
