So in listening to that why do so many people place ALL of the blame on Haymon?

You'll find the likes of Garcia, Stevenson and Quillin get plenty of criticism.

I think everyone exaggerates Haymon's role. Look at Haymon as a Union leader. He is getting them money they feel they are worth. He is being the spokeperson for his boxers. The guy to say no and have no repercussion on the reputation of a fighter. He is powerful just like Union leaders are powerful because he is the spokeperson of the employees. He can order a strike or whatever.

Now I'm not saying he is evil or good for boxing. He is clearly a very shrewd businessman, smart and ruthless. As of today, he is ****ing over the promoters and the fans to get his fighters the money they feel they deserve. But he does have his own plan and he is working towards that. There's no evidence that he will not **** over his fighters in the future. 2014 was a bust because Dela hoya got rid of Schaefer before they could take all of the GBP named fighters so they had to change their plan or move up timetable, whatever.

He setting up his empire and that's it. No long term deals with any promoters because he wants his fighters available for whatever league type thing he is planning. I believe that if he is able to prevent his fighters from signing with Rocnation for big money, he is capable of ****ing them over as well when it comes time for him to be Dana White type president. So yes, I do expect him at some point to sacrifice his big names to get stacked cards or big interest in his fights. But we have to wait and see.

too many mother****ers would rather believe that one guy, maybe because hes mysterious, controls everything about boxing.

It does not get any simpler than the ****in fighter would rather get the highest amount of money for the least amount of work. This is part of our human nature since the dawn of time. Maybe a few boxers is legitly ducking. but in general its always about the ****ing money.

maybe people just need to be honest and pick one. the wellbeing of fighters or the wellbeing of boxing. picking one fawks the other up the booty.

Managers work FOR THE FIGHTERS...fighters don't work for the Managers! A lot of it is fighters and their team Cherry Picking and Picking and Choosing.

It is not the managers job to play matchmaker like some want Haymon to do, that is what Richard Schaefer was for to Matchmaker and he did a great job doing it!

Kathy Duva: If Floyd Mayweather wanted the fight to happen, I think it would happen, I don***8217;t know if he does. It***8217;s easy to hide behind somebody if you don***8217;t want a fight to happen. My personal opinion is that at this point in time, it appears Manny Pacquiao really does want the fight to happen. I think he does, based on the things he***8217;s said and done recently.
As far as Bob Arum is concerned, I gotta say, Bob Arum has been involved in making big fights with people he can***8217;t stand many times, including with my own husband years ago. When they hated each other more than I can describe, and believe me, they hated each other as much if not more intensely than the relationship Arum has with Al Haymon right now.
Arum***8217;s relationship with Don King over the years has been just as acrimonious, yet the big fights always got made then. Something***8217;s changed, I don***8217;t know if it***8217;s Bob but I do know that when you see someone obstructing over and over again, after a while you start to notice a pattern. I see a pattern.
You see fighters giving up their titles rather than take a big fight, you see them moving over to Showtime when a fight with HBO is done already. You see constant avoidance of serious challenge by one person***8217;s fighters. I don***8217;t know how on earth you can***8217;t see this pattern. I think whether it***8217;s the fighter or the so called ***8216;advisor***8217; I really don***8217;t know, but clearly they agree with each other or this wouldn***8217;t be happening



From someone who has actual experience dealing with him, looks like if you don't want a fight, Al is the guy to protect you from the scary fighters.

You'll notice that the 'death' of Boxing just magically happens to coincide with the rise of Al Haymon as a force in the sport. Helluva coincidence, that.

You don't see Bob Arum, Kathy Duva, Oscar De La Hoya, Lou DiBella, K2 and a slew of other promoters actually paying for airtime from their pocket. Yet, that's exactly what Haymon is doing with NBC. Some people will spin it and say Haymon is taking a risk that no one has done in boxing by trying to get it back on free TV. Yeah well... that's wishful thinking and really nothing more than that. If Showtime has been paying these guys and Haymon has been matching them soft what makes you think that now, when the risk is higher than ever, will he start putting his guys in risky fights?

It's not going to happen, we're not getting Broner vs Mattyse on NBC. We aren't even getting Porter vs Brook on NBC. Garcia vs Salka is a glimpse into the Al Haymon future of boxing, which is fine with me I won't be watching anyway.

I personally know Breadman as well as Haymon managed fighters JROCK & Shut It Down Davis. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but I will say this. A lot of weak fighters are hiding behind Haymon, he will match you tough. Haymon will give you what You want. I can name plenty Haymon fighters that have took the tough road. For a prospect (now a contender), JRock is one of the fighters who took the tougher road
