Why is GGG fighting a bunch of Welterweights and jr middle weights??
So it's ok for him to fight smaller guys but not larger guys like Andre Ward?

Floyd Mayweather
Tim Bradley
James Kirkland
I think Lara has the best chance

GGG is over 30, has been in the same division his whole career and it doesnt seem like hes gonna move up.Originally posted by LarryXXX View PostI mean how much confidence do his so called fans really have in him?? There is always excuses on why he cant move up just 1 damn division...but they want him to fight ww's who have already moved up several divisions??
GGG is in his early 30's and I just don't see GGG struggling to make 160 and being too big for 160. But maybe what y'all are saying is right. If he is going to become a Chavez Jr then move up, but if he makes the weight with ease then stay at it.
It's crazy how insecure y'all are for your fanboys at WW and Jr MW
i.e. Floyd Mayweather Jr

He beats everyone on that list...maybe Andrade gives him problems at 160 because of his skill and he has the frame to fill out nicely at 160. Lara is a heck of a boxer but he's been dropped by lesser guys then GGG...Kirkland GGG would be fireworks... Bradley,Mayweather,Thurman, too small..
Canelo we will see maybe late this year who knows...I'll take GGG by Ko in 7-8 rounds. Canelo will try to slug it out with GGG and that spells disaster for him.

Its happening...im actually going to say it, Cotto can beat him. If Cotto beats Canelo in the way I assume he will, I think Cotto would have an excellent chance. However if GGG has two knees and wants a war i could see Cotto being beaten bad. It would all depend on Cotto on the night of the fight if I were betting on it, which I never do.

Froch - That's a toss up... I'll take GGG because he's the better technical fighter and I'm a big Froch fan.
Kovalev - Too big.
Stevenson - GGG is the much better fighter but it's still a jump of 15 pounds, that's a huge jump so I'd take Stevenson.
Ward - Really the only that makes sense. I'll take GGG all day and I'm not scared of the fight like you assume GGG fans are, maybe it's just the dumb ones. Ward gets beaten up pretty badly if it's anywhere but Oakland. In Oakland he can do what he wants and the ref doesn't care, it's equivalent to what Maidana was able to get away with. GGG is a better fighter than Ward. Andre is the better hugger.

Moving up at this stage makes zero sense for GGG until he owns the lineal MW belt that Cotto is baby sitting. The one that Floyd wants to cherry pick.
Ward can get some at 164 if he wants.
