Comments Thread For: Klitschko's Manager on Status of Jennings Talks, Fury Bout

Bernd Boente, manager of WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53KOs), is hoping to lock down a deal for an HBO televised defense against undefeated challenger Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10KOs) in the coming days. The target date is April 25th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Boente denied that he made any statements to a media outlet in Ukraine regarding a May title defense in Kiev.

I would prefer Wlad fighting the winner of Stiverne vs Wilder next. That fight is just 6 days away. Forget about Jennings.....

Wlad has too many mandatories, gotta get in line - I like this tho - Stiverne vs Wilder - Wlad K vs Jennings - fury fights winner of Wlad K vs Jennings, and stiverne vs Wilder fights that winner - good 4 fights in the making! Lets do it!

Let the winner of Wilder/stiverne fight against Fury first and the winner of that can fight Wlad. That would create the most deserving Wlad-contender you can think of.

Fury's uncle can't get a US visa, so any fight will have to be staged outside of the USA.

If a purse bid is won regarding a Fury fight and money dictates the fight goes to the States, then unfortunate for Fury he either dont fight or he fights without his criminal uncle.

If Wilder wins, Haymon may have other plans for him.
The WBC will enforce their order of Jennings on the winner,it's actually better Wladimir does not face Jennings, therefore the winner this weekend will be fighting sooner.in regards to DK stalling Stiverne's defences they'll have no option but to speed along negotiations with ROC sniffing around purse bids,I doubt King is comfortable with his delaying tactics.

Jennings hasn't fought since July,he has been on the shelve too long already.he could do with a tune up,I doubt that happens now though, his handlers seem to have taken the King approach with Bermane.

Shame Peter can't get a visa to fight in America. I think Wlad and Fury would do well in New York due to there being a large population of Irish there.
