Briggs looks in awesome shape too bad he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse since the vitali beating. I'm not going to be surprised if he fights briggs. Jennings is in line for the winner of stiverne/wilder. So if he waited & beat wilder or stiverne his stock would rise going into a unification fight much like haye's did when he beat valuev. Better leverage for more money. If it isn't jennings then briggs will likely get his shot. Jennings gives up his spot fighting wlad. Then if he loses to wlad there are guys like fury & povetkin for jennings to deal with to get another shot. It might make more long term sense to wait for stiverne/wilder because he's the mandatory & could make more money. He won't make the same money fighting fury or povetkin trying to get another shot. If he fights wlad he gets whatever wlad & HBO pay him. He has no leverage...

Briggs wouldn't even be his worst opponent ever. Shot to pieces Rahman, old blown up cruiser Mormeck, Pianeta and Leapai were all worse. And of these guys, only Leapai was his mandatory, the other three he fought of his own free will.

Rahman technically counted as a mandatory. Povetin was his IBF manatory having beat Chambers previously but he pulled out last minute with an injury so the highest ranked available opponent at the time was Rahman within the IBF and they counted that as mandatory defense.

Yesterday I re-watched the Foreman vs Briggs fight (1997), and it reminded me of the robbery that took place that night. Twenty-five year old Shannon Briggs lost decisively to forty-eight year old George Foreman yet was gifted the win. As far as I am concerned, Briggs has received his gift as a professional boxer, and he does not deserve to fight Wlad. Get lost and stay lost Shannon Briggs.

Briggs trolling so far has won me over whether it's staged or not HOF stuff. The interrerupting of press conferences, stalking @ sea, breakfast being robbed and training camps being disrupted. I know the German press got a lil cult love for him.

Sure I want Briggs to get this fight locked down with Wlad so he can have a nice pay day and go off in the sunset. But lets be honest he could get seriously hurt or killed. He's not a young man and I don't think he is all that healthy
