Ward wants the Golovkin fight before he moves up. It's a bigger fight than Kovalev and .3 more viewers in the ratings or whatever it was that Kovalev did against a bonafide name in Hopkins doesn't change that. Keep thinking you've somehow "won" doe. It's cute

Ward-GGG should get it on in the fall/winter of 2015.
He won't because at 175 he wont have the physical advantages he enjoys at 168.

If your Golovkin u want an elite guy in your body of work before u step up to the plate against a guy like Ward, who will want a tune up first anyway so the fight can still happen down the line. Kovalev is another huge one for Ward but Kovalev or whoever is left standing between him and Stevenson will be there waiting after Gennady. I wanna see GGG vs Ward (rather see GGG vs Froch doe) but each man is perfectly entitled to stay in there own natural division and dominate as a Marvin Hagler did in his day. I feel the GGG fight will happen and both guys will move up before too longLast edited by The Surgeon; 01-11-2015, 11:17 AM.

this guy ward is not young. how does he make 168? he is scared of kovalev so the head butting clinching PED user will stay at 168. how does ward and david haye fight so little and maintain world class showings. what are they taking?

Considering his long layoff it wouldn't be smart to move up just yet. Stepping up and immediately fighting someone like Kovalev might be biting off more than he can chew.
What he needs to focus on is just fighting, regardless of who it is. He's extremely talented and I'd hate to see him squander his prime away because of management and promotional issues.
