That's the most interesting part. HBO doesn't seem like they would be willing to shell out a couple million for Ward to fight a relative unknown, so maybe Ward should fight on FS1. It means a lot for a boxer of his caliber to fight on that network.

Ward vs. Chudinov (WBA #2) or Medina (recently knocked out J'Leon Love). Then he could fight Degale or the Vlasov/Ramirez winner.

There's article on the front page with Cedric Agnew saying he's in talks. Says if he has to, he'll come down to 168, but that it'll be difficult. I honestly wouldn't mind a catch weight fight with Bute.

Rodriguez is definitely more known than Chudinov, who's in line for a WBA title shot. Ward gets a lot of flack for his last match-up, but I thought it was fine. However, I don't see Ward getting paid well to fight someone who's never been properly introduced to the American audience (Chudinov). Medina has a better chance because he's been on American TV a few times and he just beat Love on ShoBox. He isn't much of a threat to Ward (rusty or not), and will most likely get beat up and stopped.

Who do you see Ward fighting for his return bout?

I don't give a **** who he fights, I just want Ward back in the ring. He's too good to waste so much of his prime.

Ward's return to boxing will coincide with New England's return to Boxingscene. Not sure I wanna see either

Why are you guys(and other posters in this thread) thinking Ward will fight a bum on his return? When was the last time he fought a bum?

It baffles me as to why you think so, his track record doesn't suggest he'll fight a bum whatsoever.
