in 5 years Broner will be 30. Between now and then with his marketability and fighters like Peterson, Garcia, Matthyssee, Maidana, Khan, Porter, Brook etc. 140-147 is loaded and keeps bringing excitement he will potentially make more than 40 million. He already said he plans on fight 4 times this year.
2 tune ups, 2 big fights and if he keeps winning I see him making up for turning down that offer. People thought it was ****** for Mayweather to leave Top Rank and HBO as well.....he went from making 4-8 mill a fight to making minimum 32 by being patient and believing in his future worth
And this ****ing guy actually pretends to be objective.
Jay Z is gonna fire someone for sure for accidentally putting an extra zero on that 400K offer. Talk about dodging a bullet. What if Broner had an IQ higher than the last dump I took and accepted the offer? Beyonce would be ho'in to cover the losses.
An extra zero on a 400k offer would be 4 mil. Not 40 mil.
He'll regret this if his career goes down hill. And to be honest hes good but I don't think hes the next face of boxing - I doubt in the next 5 years he will make more than that without them so it sounds like a pretty good offer to me. His choice I suppose.

Broner isn't Floyd Mayweather - he think hes the next Mayweather but he actually isn't. He'll probably win his tune ups, get too big headed again and end up getting beat again once he steps up. He thought he was the man and when he stepped up against Maidana he crumbled.
The thing is I think Broner has potential, he has the physical attributes to go very far (I think hes achieved a lot already at the age of 25), but his attitude is what holds him back, hes not the sort of guy to listen, and I don't think it will ever change either.
Can't lie it would be nice to have that 40 million guaranteed Broner got some tough fights coming up no guarantee he will ever even make 40 million in his career he hasn't even made it to PPV
But I don't blame him for not wanting to sign to a rapper this isn't they world Al Haymon has a proven track record but at the same time you don't wanna burn bridges that is Hov
People are overrating Broner's worth. Really think to yourself, how many fighters are making more than 4 million dollars per fight? Heck if he fought 3 times a year, how many fighters are making 2.5 million PER fight? 15? 10? It's not alot and one loss and he will be back to fighting well below that.
Exactly! How many boxers made 40 mil+ the past 5 years? Mayweather, Manny...maybe Cotto...??? It's one thing to turn down an offer it's another to **** on huge money to the press like it's nothing.

It makes me think that Broner simply wasn't in a legal position to accept the offer, being under Haymon and GB, so he had to reject it, and makes it seem like he is a g by saying he did it out of principle.
You should have taken the money, because after Matthysse grabs your sorry ass, Your stocks will fall to zero.you are not an elite fighter, you always fought BUMs,when an elite fighter A- like Maidana grabbed you, you went down badly.
