Honestly I don't think Canelo / Cotto was ever a option in May. Part of me thinks its grandstanding from Oscar and Canelo to make fans believe that Canelos even in the same ballpark as Floyd as far as being that much of a draw. If he was A side Cotto wouldn't be telling him what to do and when to do it.

Like I've said before this fight May/ PAC been planned for months the date wasn't in question neither is the venue. But having Canelo pretend to make a push for this date mAkes people believe that Canelo is on May/PAC level which he isn't and won't be. Since Canelo couldn't and cant do it in the ring the next best thing to do is Convince the public ( which isn't hard to do ) that he is equal to the PPv cash cows.

But everyone knew the May/Pac fight is probably going to happen in May I've been predicting it for months and I think if you look at everything that's happend it's pretty obvious this fights been months in the making so Canelo pretending he wants or should inherit the date is a moot point just grandstanding

but if it does fall trough for whatever reason I hooe Cotto / Canelo take it but it'll appear that Canelo had a hand in pushing Mayweather off that date and it's not even true he's taking orders from Cotto.
