If trainer Robert Garcia had his choice to select the next opponent for Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) - the Oxnard coach would select WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

Maidana had three major fights in a row, with a clash against Adrien Broner in December 2013, and back to back Showtime Pay-Per-View fights with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The former champion from Argentina has also discussed his desire to get Pacquiao in the ring.

While I think Maidana vs Pac would be a hell of a scrap Chino needs to notch a win first. Coming off back to back losses a win vs Broner II, Porter, Thurman, Bradley, Marquez, Garcia, etc would setup nicely for a fall bout with Pac.
