Casual Boxing Fans don't watch anybody else in boxing Besides Pacquiao and Mayweather

Take them away and Boxing is LITERALLY DEAD to Casual Fans and the Mainstream Media because they don't talk about any other fighters!

Casual fans aren't all the same. Some will watch the sport because of him. More won't.

Generally speaking he's not the type of fighter that draws more people to boxing. You need knockouts or crazy action for that.

You guys crack me up. How is Mayweather not for the casual? Tmz follows him around for dear life. That's a casual(paparazzi) show that aims toward naive people who follow celebrity lives. They didn't follow Wladimir until he was with Hayden. Point being normally not following boxing, it fits toward the mainstream. Casual fans know Mayweather and they know he should fight Pacman. Period and Floyd did that. I'm no *****

I didn't know Flo Moo was a bad word

Plenty of things make people bigger draws in comparison to other fighters. Being immensely talented, being a polarizing figure, having a strong nationalistic fan presence, being good looking. So much stuff goes into becoming a PPV star. You need the right people behind you, the right record, plenty of things.

By your reasoning Cotto and Pacquiao are even bigger turnoffs to the casual fans due to their inferior sales figures. All those people would be tuning out from Pacquiao fights or even boxing entirely based on his waning numbers.

Well if the highest paid athlete in the world really gettin hit with those low magazine sales he must be in pretty bad shape aside from being the heighest paid athlete in the entire world and rated the best in his entire international sport. I feel really bad for Floyd that things are going so bad for him and nobody's interested.

You pretty well summed it up. It's not a question of him being successful or highly paid. How could I argue that? It's about him not being good for the sport.
