Who and why would they "make him" rematch Kovalev?

Did the Maths and thought... I should drop a few pounds....

I used to love Clev, thought he was a great fighter (apart from the Beat down from Kovalev), but his attitude changed and he bores me to tears now.

I don't know if anyone is aware but he's got a maths degree.
Cleverly HAD those tools, against Bellew he showed none of that. The worst part is, his stamina is shot to **** and I don't think Cleverly will ever recover from that.

Not sure the weight will make much difference, the Bellew performance was a howler and it wasn't primarily the weight that was the problem.

Clev could have probably got the Bernard Hopkins fight if he'd just been a little more patient. Or maybe a unification against Shumenov. Defending your title against a monster like Kovalev in a voluntary defence with no rematch clause was a massive risk and it backfired.

I hear Hearn has a world title shot lined up for him already. I'm guessing it'll be against Jurgen Braemer.
Completely agree on Kovalev. Its a shame because Cleverly has looked fragile and devoid of confidence since. I'm not even sure he'd beat Braemer.

I'm aware of the maths degree, and I wish that Nathan would retire from boxing and put that degree to use.

Clev vs Ajisafe could be interesting!

He's still young, he can fight at european level until he's 30 and then retire having made a lot of money and then put his degree to use.
He will make far more money boxing than he would from his degree

He's aiming for Braemer later in the year.

Hearn loves that WBA Regular belt.
