With and/or without Haymon, professional boxing has been falling in popularity for quite some time now. There's been a lack of mainstream exposure. I feel like the more boxing gets mainstream exposure, the more competitive fights will be made by default because of the financial incentives. But I'm pretty sure there will be some negative side effects from that growth too. But the more popular, the more money many fighters can make. But right now, boxing is so unpopular, regular fans don't know the difference between Herrera and Salka. Those fights had almost the same amount of viewership!

I mean, what do you say about that? When one match that is way better competitive-wise is watched just as much as a fight that is no match competitive wise.
The Garcia fight was a triple header with Peterson and Danny Jacob's as well. It's not that surprising it did decent viewers, which was still a drop in viewers from Garcia vs Herrera. And that's just Garcia, one card. Look at the rest of showtimes ratings, really bad numbers for the Year. Look at Stevenson who had really low 630k against Fanfora, to a dismal 330k against Sukhotsky. That's down quite a freaking lot from his 1.3m viewers against Bellew November of the Year prior. Quite a dramatic drop off.

Are you mentally challenged? We are concerned of the well being of the SPORT of boxing and it's future. Fighters making money is great as long as they deserve it and it's helping the sport. Wasting $2 million dollars for a fight that does 330k in viewers isn't good for the sport at all.

Oscar said himself that Haymon doesn't "BLOCK FIGHTS FROM HAPPENING" and said it AGAIN recently!

Most of his HATE is because he is connected with Mayweather...don't get me wrong, I totally get the frustration with the **** match making though, Haymon deserves criticism for that for sure! But again he is a MANAGER not a Promoter, he works for the FIGHTERS to try and help them make the most money possible and he is clearly the best at doing that.
Of course Oscar is going to say that. Haymon took all his fighters and if Oscar said anything bad about Haymon he wouldn't see another Haymon fighter on his card for a really long time.

Hymen is trying to create a monopoly and you can't have a monopoly where multiple venues are capable of offering the same product given the fact that each venue has a restrictive budget. Sure, he can promise the world, lock up boxers into "slave contracts" but in the end, he will fail. There aren't enough fight slots available to substantiate the promises and not enough money in the budget for the limited venues through which he can generate revenue.

Dudes will be forced to sit on the shelf (which they obviously have been); pass up on bigger opportunities because of the contracts that they have signed with their promoter (sorry adviser); and be tied up in litigation when they try to fight back because they didn't consult a reputable lawyer prior to signing on the dotted line.
