Yup. Although it sucks for Sonsona. However aside from his power I don't see how Sonsona vs Jhonny would be better than Velez vs Gonzalez.

The Bombardero should rack this win up with ease.

Must b in the very early stages as MX papers have said nothing, yet...velez has fought a few decent guys but JG is a big step up, especially in MX...

Should be a good fight. Giving the edge to Gonzalez

Gradovich beat velez, now velez is getting another shot at the lineal champ?? Look velez is a descent fighter but his technique is not that good and his stamina is questionable. He has heart, but from what i seen against grado , im not impressed.. The cagey veteran "El Campeon" Gonzalez will break him down and prove to be too much for velez who should have opted to settle the score with grado... but money talks and i dont blame him for pursuing johnny.

If velez can pressure and let his hands go he can ko Johnny who has been known for a chinny chin jhonny style is more suitable for him

The only fight I wanna see @ 126Lb is Gonzo/Walters!

I was thinking the same thing. This would be a good fight to have on the Cotto/Canelo undercard. Another Mexico vs Puerto Rico fight.

Hope this is a sign that Cotto/Canelo is getting made.
