  • Comments Thread For: Fury Plans Active Ring Campaign Leading To Klitschko Fight

It was the most frustrating stretch of Tyson Fury***8217;s career prior to finally stepping into the ring for his rematch with Dereck Chisora last November. The unbeaten heavyweight had established himself as one of the division***8217;s top players, but absent were the opportunities to advance his career, due to a variety of circumstances well beyond his control.

Between scheduled opponents suffering untimely injuries or withdrawing altogether, Fury (23-0, 17KOs) managed just two fights in a span of more than 18 months leading into his second fight with Chisora. The 6***8217;9***8221; Brit took his frustrations out on his longtime rival, delivering one of the best performances of his career in forcing Chisora to retire on his stool after 10 rounds.

The win placed Fury in line for a mandatory title fight versus World heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko, although he has to wait his turn. The agreement in place allowed Klitschko to negotiate a fight with American contender Bryant Jennings***8212;targeted for April 25 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY***8212;with the winner obligated to reach a deal with Fury by no later than late May.

Rather than grow stale on the sidelines waiting for his title shot to materialize, Fury and his team made the command decision to keep his career moving. With that comes his next ring appearance, a stay-busy fight versus heavyweight trialhorse Christian Hammer on February 28 at O2 Arena in London.

***8220;(Fury***8217;s) only had two fights in roughly two years,***8221; points out co-promoter Frank Warren. ***8220;He wants to be match fit, he wants to be ready. We want to make sure that when he faces off with Klitschko, he***8217;s fighting fit.***8221; [Click Here To Read More]

Fury beats all of them, including Joshua & Wilder. The only name mentioned that would probably beat him is Klitschko.

You can't compare Wlad to big stiff idiots like Ustinov & Wach.

Maybe he should consider fighting someone, regardless of size, that represents something a little more then just a recognizable name on his resume.

Nobody is comparing Wlad to either of those guys.they remark Fury should fight someone his own size or he is doomed to fail when he finally gets his title shot.

Wach is a big stiff idiot ! yet went 12 rounds with the champion ? Fury will not last the distance when he takes his turn.

If you genuinely believe Fury beats Joshua and Wilder good luck to you,but their is a reason Fury ducked Price,Cunningham and Pajkic showed us why.Fury hasn't great power,Wilder folds the guy pretty handidly and pretty early.

The more Abell's,Chisora's and Hammer's Fury faces in his title run up the more complacent he will become when he steps up,he needs a challenge.Povetkin,Pulev etc all took theirs facing the likes of Chagaev,Thompson so on.
