It would get announced like the week before that in the buildup to the Superbowl.
There is 2 week break between so there is kind of nothing so it is the perfect time to announce it, Then the next week you have them do appearances with the media at the Superbowl.
So yea it would be getting close to rubber meets the road time, if they are going to go.Comment

Only a fool would believe Arum cares about people. This is all you need to know about what Arum thinks about the date.
"Arum stopped short of saying he would not participate in the planning of a long-awaited Mayweather-Pacquiao showdown on the same date as Cotto-Alvarez".
“I’m not saying that,” said Arum. “I’m just saying that it’s poaching on a Mexican date and it’s disrespectful to the Mexican people. Period. I’ll make that stand.”
Only Floyd groupies act like they lack reading comprehension when it fits their silly little groupie agendas. That's from the same interview that started this mess. But they choose to ignore the truth.Comment

The Super Bowl is shown in 50 more countries than the cricket world cup and the most watched sporting event in America. People literally watch it for the commercials it. There isn't a better vessel on the face of the Earth to promote a May fight than advertising it during the super bowl. Stiverne - Wilder would work too I guess, but we are talking a difference in viewership of over 100 million there.Comment

It's funny that this mythical fight (hope it happens) polarizes the boxing and business world involved within and about...the very forces contrasting all coming out and trying to make sense out of it. All because of money....sad, really on one sense and celebratory on the other because of pugilism.
Either way, I am tired of reading both sides' arguments.
Let's just make this happen!!!Comment
