Boxing fans and writers play matchmaker all the time.

Around the water cooler. On social media. At 2 a.m or 2 p.m.

So I will also partake in this. There are fights that I would love to see made in 2015. I am realistic enough that these fights will or will not get made, due to promotional, network, or, as some in boxing have attributed to, the Al Haymon effect.

I would hope that all the match makers would see this and make these fights happen for the fans.

What makes Stevenson vs Hopkins likely? I would be downright shocked if it happened. All risk and zero reward for Stevenson, makes no sense for him.

Some great calls there. Of course the fight everyone wants is Mayweather/Pacquiao.

        I'd also add:

        Maidana/Matthysse
        Garcia/Pacquiao
        Crawford/Broner
        Canelo/GGG
        Chavez Jr/Kovalev
        Haye/Wilder
        Fury/Joshua

Froch vs Govlokin or Kovalev - either would be a war.

            Joshua Vs Fury

            Mayweather vs Pacman

            Khan vs Brook

            Lomachenko v rigondeaux

Ward vs Stephenson, Govlokin or Kovalev

Wilder vs Wlad - Just for a laugh..

Algeri is coming off a loss, not a win.

I hope they make Matthysse Provodnikov for the WBO strap.

Last year, 2014, was a terrible year for boxing and 2015 will be just as bad. We will be lucky if we see two fights that feature A-level boxers. Stiverne-Wilder (featuring B+ & C class boxers) and Kovalev-Paschal (featuring A & B class boxers) are going to be the best fights of the first half of 2015. Stiverne-Klitschko (A & B+) will probably be the only quality fight we see in the second half of 2015.

I predicted in March of 2014 that it would be a terrible year for boxing. I am making my prediction for 2015 early. It will be another terrible year.
