well, a win over Floyd or Pac would be enough to crown a new star but these guys have to go out there and get that win, not the BS Bradley pulled by the way but a real, sensational, non-controversial win, like Foreman over Frazier, Ali over Liston, Pacquiao over Barrera and so on.
Do pac and floyd need to pass the torch?

Someone will creep out the woodwork eventually, and they don't necessarily have to beat Manny/Floyd to be the face of Boxing. If after they've retired someone comes along who is better than everyone else then they will become a star. Remember, there were stars after Ali, Leonard, etc.Comment

As others have said, the young guns need to yank the torch away from Mayweather/Pac and make them fall back. I would honestly prefer if Pac and Mayweather kept doing what they're doing right now instead of fighting each other. The problem is that contenders aren't being developed quick enough.Comment

can pass something no one worthy of yet.
No one and I mean no one is out there taht can take the torch from them (the way the real passing of the torch happens in boxing)Comment

The torch has been in boxing since Ali to Leonard to Tyson to Chavez to Hoya to Trinidad to Jones and now Pac and Mayweather. Once Pac and Mayweather either get retired or retire on their own, the cash cow crown will be up for grabs. I could see GGG going for it, if he moves up and beats Froch and Ward at 168.Comment

Yes and No
Yes, because we need some kind of superstar to keep boxing alive and relevant.
No, because there is still incredible talent like GGG and Kovalev. If they continue fighting the best and wins them. They could be the next superstar. Ill add Canelo too because his ppv star now like Floyd and Pac used to be before fighting Oscar. He just needs more convincing wins to eclipse his defeat to floyd.
There a few talents in lower weights too, but it's hard to be superstar there.Comment
