Donaire was a very good fighter who sadly just isn't in his prime anymore. I find it ridiculous that people on this website ridicule him when they know damn well Donaire wasn't a big super bantamweight and is a relatively small featherweight.

I think sadly Donaire was held to a higher standard due to what Pacquiao was able to do and many felt he would be able to do the same but the Walters fight has probably forced him to realize his just isn't built for the higher weight classes.

Mares and Donaire are stuck in a division they probably don't belong in.

It's not the issue of the weight. It's that ever since Rigo outclassed him he's never been the same. The rematch with Donaire he seemed too scared to let his hands go. He finally did when we realized he was behind on the cards. His next fight he didn't look good at all. Then the fight with Walters was icing on the cake. Let's be real what can he do? The real champ at 122 is Rigo who has his number. He will never be the same fighter again. Plus he's already 32 and been in a few wars.

Sounds like you think he should hang them up. He could go back down to 122 and fight another titlist. I could see Warren/Hearn paying him well to fight Frampton/Quigg in the UK.

Donaire doesn't enjoy boxing anymore. He contemplated retirement even before fighting Rigo.

I would enjoy watching Donaire spark out Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz lets Donaire go wild with his counter punching

Too bad that bout is not likely to happen. Anyone know when Donaire's contract with TR runs out?
