thurman is being protected. he won't be matched up with the likes of mayweather or pacman. his handlers know what they have. a flawed young fighter. they will keep him safe with fringe contenders. his big step up will come against a safe guy like devon alexander. he is so far away from a meaningful fight. a khan fight is not even a pipe dream for this guy. you just don't go from bundu to khan. i'm sure his next fight will be another washed up journeyman or another guy we have never heard of.

Alexander must be sick of this guy. Devon gets most of the risky fights, while Thurman just keeps yapping and gets the less riskier fights. Why didn't One time insist on fighting Khan, instead of Bundu, then?

Look at this dumbass. Doesn't even know there isn't a JMW division in the amateurs.

Keith has ALWAYS been a welterweight.

Thurman always fought at Welterweight. Porter fought at middleweight as an amateur.

Insist on fighting Khan??? Do you actually think it is as simple as that? Khan won't even mention Thurman by name.

They have one common opponent - Diaz. Khan went life and death with him, getting knocked on his ass and wobbled several times. I though Diaz should have won, but it was close. Thurman stopped Diaz.

He has mentioned him several times actually.

Why should he have to mention him anyway? Thurman offers nothing to Khan. Absolutely zero. The guy fights on his undercards and gets booed out the MGM

Thurman is being protected? Deontay Wilder is the image of a protected fighter, Lucien Bute, peter quillin, these are protected fighters - Fighters that would relinquish their belt and career high payday for a little known threat! Thurman beat Soto Karras, Julio Diaz, Carlos Quintana, did you guys look at the opponent Thurman had to face in Bundu??? a undefeated Olympian with a herky jerky style that no one looks good against! Did you boxing experts recognize how he beat Bundu? How he shut out a moving combination punching spoiler???? This could have easily been a Garcia vs Herrera type of fight, or a Devon Alexander vs Kotelnik fight a spoiler type of fight - but Thurman went in there and shut the guy out - used superior footwork and set the trap to where if Bundu Committed he was going to get KO'd! Basically he shut Bundu down and won all of the rounds to where Bundu would have to fight a totally different style or basically become the aggressor which inturn would have gotten him KO'd - Thurman is ready, learn to look at what your eyes are seeing, You cannot force someone to fight a threat without a belt! To everyone on here that thinks boxing is just about KO's it is a sport if it was just about KO's they would not have gloves nor rules - boxing is a sport and you have respect all styles because the sport is very similar to rock / paper / scissors - the right style will trump the next and so on..

I like Thurman as a fighter and personality but he got booed out the building the night after he was talking about how he was all about "knockouts for life!" and how he was going to destroy Mayweather. Not a good look.
He still got a knockdown and damn near shut the guy out like Khan did. Fans are spoiled. He won how he had to.

Khan was fighting a world class opponent. Thurman was fighting a 40 year old European level fighter. What he had to do was look spectacular and he choked.
