Comments Thread For: Malignaggi Ponders Return, Talks Facing Kell Brook

Former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-6, 7KOs), 34-years-old, is still mulling the possibility of a comeback. Malignaggi has been inactive since an April 2014 knockout loss in four to Shawn Porter.

A few months later, Porter was defeated by decision by British boxer Kell Brook. Malignaggi is coming to Manchester to be part of a special Las Vegas themed event.

Malignaggi is comfortable with his current role as an expert analyst for Showtime Championship Boxing, but he admits that he likely wouldn't turn down the opportunity for one final world title shot, against the man who conquered his conqueror.

The Special One puts Paulie in the hospital just like Porter did.

Paulie would do as a tune up after Brooks injury and long lay off though he don't deserve another shot at a world title.

Paulie in spring, mandatory in summer & a big super fight to end the year with would be nice.

Agreed, Paulie used to be cool and speak the truth before he signed with haymon. Now I'm ashamed that I once defended him. He is good and has gotten far but he just doesn't have enough power to keep too guys off him for 12 whole rounds. Brook has decent power and would stop him I think

Not sure which way to lean on this. Brook is not aggressive enough to blow Paulie out the water even tho he is a boxer puncher - Porter / Khan / Hatton are ultra aggressive fighters this is what Paulie cannot handle because he does not posses the pop to keep them from walking him down. Brook is total opposite from this list. Yes of course he can beat Paulie, but paulie is a boxer and might end up giving brook fits.
