Margarito with or without plaster breaks Maidana down and likely stops him in the mid to late rounds. Karass' body shots was slowing Maidana down, Margarito is bigger, physically stronger, better puncher, better conditioning and more durable than Karass.

im not so sure. margs mentality is not to be questioned for sure, but as far a physical? Margo couldnt hold up when shane was dropping them bombs because he's so open to them....Give probably the hardest puncher in the ww division in maidana a chance to tee off on you for 12 rds? If marg doesnt stop him with body shots its a wrap imo

That was Mosley who manhandled Margarito because he was physically strong enough, had the stamina to implement that style, on top of that he was a better puncher than Maidana, better hand speed, also more durable. That was his last great performance. Bad comparison really.

I'd take Margarito. Soto Karass was a poor man's version of Marg and he was giving Chino hell. With Margarito's better chin and workrate, I can see him winning. Not sure if a TKO would happen.

It's more than just body shots that's gonna tire Maidana, it's the pacing and the fact that he'll need to tie Margarito up. It's bad enough that Maidana doesn't even have the stamina to implement this.

Good fight but I take margarito in a war.. Margarito is all wrong for Maidana..
