I do believe his trainer believes Stevenson will KO Kovalev but I don't think Stevenson and Al Haymon agree.

yeah thats right.. the same guy that struggled with Bellew..yeah he's just going to blow Kovalev away.. but in all honesty yeah Stevenson has a good overhand left and straight let but its not going to be enough..
Kovalev has power in every punch he throws even a jab to the body lol and he has a great short left lead uppercut thats very sneaky.. also his feints even opened up Bernard.. he is far more smarter than he looks at first glance...I honestly didn't think he was that good when I seen him for the first time blowing Cleverly away but then with more studying and watching that fight several times I believe he is a modern George Foreman it would take age or someone extremely special to beat him... plus Stevenson has been stopped before and he's never faced anyone like Kovalev, you could also make a case for the other way round but I just see two different levels personally
on a side note I feel that this fight could be a stinker..if Kovalev lands hard and doesnt even put Stevenson on ***** street I think Stevenson will get negative and just wait for the perfect time to land a big shot and if Stevenson hits Kovalev hard without obviously putting him on ***** street he will keep coming
Stevenson is a good defensive fighter and I see him badly stinking the joint up after being knocked down or hurtLast edited by Stuntman Mike; 01-03-2015, 07:02 AM.

HBO was offering bread crumps for the Stevenson/Fonfara fight.
HBO was offering 1.5 million each for the Stevenson/Kovalev fignt.
Showtime proposed 1.8 million for Stevenson/Fonfara fight.
Showtime proposed 3.5 million each for the Stevenson/Hopkins fight.
Instead of paying Stevenson & Kovalev fairly, HBO played with both parties. Waiting to give a long term contract to the winner of this expected bout, rather than paying and signing both opponent under a long term deal.
So when Stevenson moved to Showtime, HBO had no choice to do what they were supposed to do since the beginning, by finally settle down a long term agreement with Kovalev. So whether team Kovalev like it or not, it's through Adonis if Sergey won his spot at HBO. They shouldn't blame Stevenson with that phony lawsuit, that (Main Events) would've lost anyway.

And about your deep personal feelings, you're right; Stevenson will demolish Kovalev.
I just can't wait.
