i agree but he already said no way

I don't know why you are trying to compare Mayweather and Golovkin. Mayweather is 37, Golovkins is 32. Mayweather has been a pro for over 18 years, Golovkin is at 8 years. Mayweather has conquered 5 weight classes, GGG is at 1. Floyd has already gone up in weight... 4 times. Golovkin has yet to do it once. In fact, he continues to call out fighters from a division below his 1st weight class. Let me blow your mind... Mayweather's resume contains as many Hall of Famers (already inducted, not even talking about the future) as Golovkin's resume contains current/former titleholders (2). That is the truth. Mayweather has fought and beat as many Hall of Famers as Golovkin has fought beat current/former titleholders.

Golovkin should take notes from his Soviet compatriot two weight classes above him in Kovalev. Kovalev is fighting the best regardless of money, Hopkins, Pascal, and probably Stevenson after that. He doesn't care about who's most famous or who brings the most money. All he cares about is the legacy he is forging in this sport. Kovalev is the real fighter. I hope Golovkin realizes his potential and challenges himself.
Are you for real ? is this real life you are talking about ? his "soviet compatriot" is getting the big names in HIS DIVISION! which you dont think GGG should do , he gets the MONEY fights in his division..... if you want to compare them you need to ask Kovalev to go up to CW/HW and fight the best there , there is no sense in going up before you get the #1 spot in your division - clean it up , unless its a MEGA fight of some sort.
Is it his fault he has chicken **** fighters in his division ? let him clean them out or they vacate , he then can say "did it all" get the fans behind him and go search for the challange , it will be @ the end of 2015/start 2016 when he moves up , just give him a break (which you give Ward who cleaned his division and never went up).
currently the lineal champ is not him , he is not rated #1 in MW by the "casual" boxing scene - ****** image Miguel Cotto

you as a hardcore boxing fan want him to move up because you KNOW he will take cotto out , but the casual boxing fan who goes to the most popular magzine to check out the best in the divsion will see COTTO and not him.
let him be the best and he will go on to fight the best

I'm just hoping that Cotto/Canelo happens soon and that the winner has balls like BHop and gives GGG the same chance Bernard gave to Kovalev.

That's all it would take to break the deadlock at 160lbs and bring the division back to life.

If and when GGG unifies the middleweight belts, then start talking about him moving up to 168, but not before.

Cotto has never weighed more than 155 lbs. at a weigh-in (which he did vs. Martinez). Canelo has never weighed more than 155 lbs. at a weigh-in (which he did vs. Angulo and Lara). Mayweather has never weighed more than 151 lbs. at a weigh-in (which he did vs. Cotto). These guys aren't MWs, they are WWs and JMWs.

In fact if you look at the names that Golovkin called out, there isn't a MW in the bunch as Froch and Chavez Jr. are SMWs. If Chavez Jr. is good enough, then surely Froch, Kessler, Ward, and Andre Direll are good enough as well. He should stop picking on blown-up WWs and JMWs and move up to 168 to challenge himself against men his own size.

If they are so sure that he knocks everyone in those two divisions out, then why waste time there? Move on to the next big thing at 168, where your ass would be handed to you, gladly. Fight Dirrell to start things with, then Ward.

It's a bit of contradiction Kovalev fights the best opposition in his weightclass... Why do you want GGG to move up? Because he's so good at his natural weight that you want to put him at disadvantage? Guy wants to
become undisputed in his weight class... what's wrong with that?

GGG has never weighed more than 160 lbs, so he wouldn't be fighting men his own size at 168. He would be fighting men who are bigger than him.

Forget Floyd, he is irrelevant at 160. But if you think GGG should be fighting men who are 8 lbs heavier than him, then why shouldn't Canelo and Cotto fight GGG, who is only 3 lbs heavier than they are?

Even by your own flawed logic, what you are saying does not make sense.

And what happens with the WBC, Ring and lineal middleweight titles? Only Junior Middleweights and welterweights can fight for them from now on?

If Cotto and Canelo want to middleweight champ then they have to fight middleweights, and GGG is a middleweight. If they are too small to handle him that's their problem, not his.
