"He used the lame excuse of the cut Pacquiao suffered against Marquez, saying he might not be ready for May. (I've never heard of a cut taking more than six months to heal.) However, earlier this week, when Arum thought Mayweather would be on ice behind bars, he said there was a good possibility Pacquiao would fight in May.

most fights get made at least 3 months before fight night. (for training camp, promotion etc...) So the fight would have to be signed by Feb. In Feb, the Pacquiao/Mayweather problems would still be:

1. Pac signed to Top Rank
2. Pac fighting for HBO
3. Arum would still be alive (not wishing death on anyone but retirement from boxing is an option.)
4: Mayweather's showtime contract
5. Mayweathers offering 40 million or less (per Floyds last statements)

(Just being realistic here. Noticed I didnt mention any of the BS such as Manny fighting under TMT or Stadiums ETC... Lets be real here.)
