Don King shovels the horse manure. Man he is a parody of a parody of a parody of himself at this point.

Wlad will steamroll either one of these guys -- Hell, Pulev would probably beat either one of them.

I still think Wilder is going to get laid out, though, maybe knocked right through the ropes out cold.

Imagine if Stiverne beats both Wilder & Wlad. DK will host a parade across Vegas, then fly to Atlantic City, and continue the party.

Geez Don King, wadda goofball. Only guy you'd ever see at a fight (or anywhere else, besides a nursing home) wearing a beat up jean jacket with a picture of himself on it.

Having said that, I still see Stiverne stopping Wilder. Stiverne just seems to have a more solid foundation, better boxer, equal or close to equal power, better thinker in the ring. There's always that wildcard of Wilder landing a bomb just right... but the same could come right back at him at any point too.

Hurry up and get here Jan 17

Mark Breland is a great trainer and he has been preparing Wilder for Stiverne for more than 6 months.

Unlike most heavyweights, Wilder is not a plodding, fat oaf who breathes hard between rounds.

He has the athleticism, speed, power, and killer instinct to both win rounds and finish off his opponents.

All Wilder has to do is follow Breland's game plan and he's got this.

I hate throwing the term around, but Deontay Wilder really is all 'hype'. He's been gifted a shot at a title having not fought a single top 10 ranked opponent.

What's more, save the big right hand, he's scarcely developed. His footwork looks clumsy, his guard is almost none existent, his jab is thrown without menace, and he has cannot take a shot (see Sconiers fight). Obviously, given that he's never been the distance and is partial to throwing the right over other punches, there are questions of stamina, too.

He can beat Stiverne, sure. But, in my opinion, he'll need to pin Stiverne against the ropes early and wade away. If Stiverne survives or, indeed, catches Wilder early, things won't end well.
hey hey!! this is the man that took charlie z into deep water!

Can any recommend a fight where Wilder wears a at least half heavy shot??

That's the best thing that could happen for the heavyweight division. An impressive win by Wilder is badly needed to create some buzz and to give Klitschko an attractive and potentially threatening opponent.
