His best punch is the double jab followed by a straight left, which he starts from long range, comes in while pumping his jabs and then throws his straight left and spins the opponent around before they have a chance to do anything. And he doesn't cut the ring off? Watch the.algieri fight to see how good he does against runners. I suspect it will be the same against Floyd except maybe somewhat closer due to judges bias towards duckweather that they always have. But if Manny does his usual and throws 100 hard punches a round, Floyd will have no choice but to be like the usual opponent and cover up the whole round and not get any punches off. How is he going to win rounds throwing 10 punches while landing 5 and Manny is throwing 100 punches and landing 30 or 40? For one, Pac jabs, he just does it unconventionally as a double jab and spin at angles to setup his next offense. He doesn't cut the ring, you don't need to look further than his last fight. So you're saying May hasn't been boxing like a defensive back in his last 3 fights? At this stage of their career, Algieri moves way better than May. He's younger and he was running after he felt Manny power. I stated in my post, CA is no May but to say CA doesn't run/box/back peddle like May is untrue. Well CA moves better if you ask me. Because he's younger. Manny cutoff the ring beautiful against Algieri. He'll do the same against May.

Aggression won't win the fight, unless you are hoping to land that one big shot. As another astute poster above put it, we're back to 'the blueprint' with this approach.

It's workrate that's needed. Try to win rounds not the fight. Mayweather's style is tailor made for Pac if he can just keep throwing his usual combos but refrain from being overly aggressive and becoming reckless. Think Bradley 2, rather than Marquez 4.

But Manny was overly aggressive against Bradley in the 2nd fight. Bradley was just wild as hell. He totally abandoned his game plan after 2 rounds because he hurt Manny. FMJ will not. Roach is correct. They have to be perfect. The chances of winning 7 rounds against FMJ without a knockdown is not likely.
