  • Comments Thread For: Cotto's Adviser on Mayweather Rematch Rumblings

Gaby Penagaricano, legal adviser to WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs), has been swamped with phone calls regarding the widespread rumblings of Cotto being approached for a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) on May 2nd.

As Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum stated earlier, reports of Mayweather's adviser Al Haymon presenting a $40 million dollar offer to Cotto are laughable at best.

Well, looks like Floyd is losing his May date.

Seems like Canelo Cotto will happen. Floyd should've just fought PACQUIAO...but what else is new?

No seriously, how can you call out Manny on Showtime and not.......you know what I won't be getting angry until either Manny or Floyd is signed to fight someone other than each other. Then I am going Code red

I hope Cotto-Canelo falls through so we can see Mayweather-Cotto 2. I would have preferred Mayweather-Pacquaio but Bob Arum won't allow it.

why can't they for once quit being divas and just announce the damn fight.
First the fight isn't close to being finalized. Then the fight is 50% ready, then there is still a possibility of a Mayweather fight, so there is no need to rush. Now there is a need to announce the fight soon.

                  For f**k sake!!
