Hearn only said he talked to Haymon about. I think it's just the UK press running with it. Arum made it clear no official negotiations can occur without TR's involvement. Julio is under contract with TR for one more fight before Oct. 2015.

This claim comes strictly from Bob Arum and everyone knows that Arum is one of the all-time greatest liars on the planet. Arum originally said Chavez was under contract until October 2015. Then, later he said it was April 2015 and Chavez owed him one more fight. I would be skeptical about anything Arum said.

If Arum supposedly filed a lawsuit against Chavez in July or August of this year as he claimed, that lawsuit should be heard and resolved by January at the latest. If Chavez wins as I suspect he will, he can fight Froch on March 28.

I hadn't seen the April 2016 date before, the October 2015 was widely reported. Either way they're in court and I doubt Hearn, HBO, or Showtime will go anywhere near a fight involving Chavez until this is resolved.

It's foolish of Chavez, he could've taken a simple fight for $3mill and been out before he signed with Haymon. Now the only fight TR will accept is one that pays them well or against Gilberto Rameriz.

If he owes top rank another fight its only right he gives him one. That's not money grubbing that's the contract he signed any other promoter would do the same, that's why Andre ward hasn't fought because he just doesn't want to adhere to his contract for whatever reason instead of fighting until its over and then sign with someone else like any logical thinking person would do
