I try so hard to like Cotto the Hoto but it's just impossible the way he treats other fighters. Go fight Maynever again you little feg.... Cotto's earned this position. He's been on the short end of negotiations in the past and has gotten his a$$ handed to him in those situations. I respect the fact that he's taken control of his career.

The main reason why boxing fans get frustrated with negotiations for the big fights is because the websites have to provide "news" on a minute-to-minute basis, so they make stories out of nothing. Everyone who follows these "stories" gets jerked around. I don't blame the fighters for that. It's their blood.

In the span of a week,I've seen this fight go from 50% complete ,to "not even started" about 4 or 5 different times. I mean,just yesterday cottos manager was saying that nothing at all had been decided,and a day later,they're at 50%? Seems like they're just making it up as they go along.

The way he treats other fighters? Comments like that sound a little too emotional for a boxing site. Negotiations are a business, you don't just walk in a room and agree to whatever is on the table. Just because Oscar & Canelo are eager to finalize and challenge Mayweather for Cinco de Mayo doesn't mean that makes the best sense for team Cotto. What if Pac vs Floyd goes on May 2nd. Who trains Miguel? Why challenge the biggest fight in recent memory if its financial suicide? I'm sure they are feeling out the Pac vs Floyd situation before they make a decision. Also, to name drop Khan, Thurman & Canelo as real fighters over Cotto is just idiotic. The guy has titles in 4 weight classes with a solid resume. In fact, he has more titles in more weight classes and better wins than all 3 combined.
