Arum has nothing to do with It, but this does.

Undefeated boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. revealed during a recorded TV interview that he has always avoided a matchup with top contender Manny Pacquiao, citing his fear of losing his undefeated status

“I have been lucky to have reached this point in my career, and undefeated,” said Mayweather. “Losing all of that to someone who is in desperate mode right now is a scary thing”

Is there really a need to come on this board daily and defend a fighter that just doesn't want the fight? I understand that he may be one of your favorite fighters, but he Is scared and he himself has said so.

He probably wins the fight but we will never know.

Where do negotiations for Floyd/Pac stand right now or have there been no negotiations from Floyd's side?

As far as I know it's been one-way traffic on Manny's side trying to make it. As I understand it, Les Moonves is in contact with the Mayweather camp and not getting anywhere.

When are people going to stop being delusional about what's really going on here? Floyd's attempts to get this fight made have been laughable, and the number of stipulations is absurd. Why would you support that? You need look no further than the Maidana gloves/ring/ref mandates he enforced in the last fight to see he wants absolutely 100 percent control of the every aspect of negotiations, and even then I'm skeptical about how much he wants this.
This does not surprise me at all. Mayweather's ego cannot handle anything less than complete control at this point in his career/life. Lets hope that Mayweather comes around, if what is being said above is true. Both Pac and him are being offered money that is outrageous for an athlete which means all sides would earn some serious grub. But too many egos and when it comes to ego, some people would rather lose money than to compromise their ego. Mayweather may be torn between conceding the May 2nd date which to him is like losing - and having to compromise a little to make the Pac fight, which to him is also like losing because he has to make an opening in his armor.

What contract is being signed at this point by either side? Links please. Negotiations, if they are happening are not to the point of either side writing up a contract, let alone any signatures from either side unless everything is covert and I doubt you are privy to anything covert.

There was no need for Bob to make May 2nd an issue. It was ok with Manny.

As long as Floyd's ego allows for others to occupy that date then there should be no problem. But if Alvarez fights Cotto and Floyd wants that date for anything other than a Pac fight, he will be risking serious money loss. Lets see if Mayweather can be mature about the May 2nd date. He will gain respect if he is. If he acts like a little kid who doesn't want to share the sandbox, then he wont gain that respect.

Meanwhile Bob already told the world he doesn't want Pac to fight Mayweather out of fear of "disrespecting" Mexicans. lmao. And Pac isn't doing anything about it but sitting silent as a mouse.

Pac should be asking Bob why he's trying to keep him from fighting Cinco de Mayo weekend. Shouldn't matter to Pac, assuming he wants the fight. He should be calling up ESPN/Media/etc. claiming he wants the fight and doesn't understand why his promoter is putting up roadblocks or trying to make other fights, less demanding fights a priority over the most demanded fight of this generation.

why are you asking Floyd to show maturity when that isn't the issue? Bob is trying to make more money for himself and his partners on another fight and undermining the Floyd/pac fight to do so.

Come on dude. Have some integrity and call Bob out on this.
