And this is why....he truly believes he would beat Floyd and in doing so, he will take the stardom, recognition associated with beating a bonafide all time boxing great. He wants it all from one fight, not by fighting a few other guys and building up his own resume.

He's fought Maidana, Garcia, Peterson, Collazo, Judah, Paulie. You can't say he hasn't fought anyone. Who has Khan ducked?

Maidana got a floyd fight and who has maiden beaten? Broner, that's all. that's the only fighter on his resume that you can say is a very good fighter. His other wins are against (in order) lopez (barely), Angel Martinez (who?), Karass, Petr Petrov, Morales (grandpa), Corley....and the list goes on and on. Maidana also lost to Khan and was embarrassed by Alexander.

So what made Maidana deserving of a match? Because Floyd said so?

Khan actually has some leverage... Floyd is really only down to manny or khan as legit opponents, maybe cotto.. If khan walks away, floyd may have no opponent in May

Khan does indeed have leverage. If Cotto fights Canelo, Khan fights someone else, that leaves floyd in desperation mode and has to fight paceman or justify a fight with a Garcia.

That has nothing to do with it. Khan wasted time out of his prime years waiting on floyd this year only for floyd to **** on him. Even when Floyd agreed to let the fans choose between Khan/Chino, the fans chose Khan and Floyd decided to fight Chino anyways.

I applaud Khan for putting his foot down and not letting Floyd ruin another 6 months of his career. There's many other fights for Khan, you can't say that about Floyd.

Yea they will, do you think any casual knew who Maidana is? Maidana doesn't spend any time in America besides training, doesn't speak english, and comes from Argentina.

Khan is known in the states, and they would push his pakistani background like crazy which would intrigue Americans. Khan is very marketable.

With that being said, people buy fights to watch Floyd lose or get KTFO, they don't buy it to watch his opponents. Every guy he fights people will buy, hoping this will be the guy to do it.
