Narrowly escaped? What does it matter how narrowly he was escaping it. When you avoid a punch, you avoid it, it doesn't matter how far or close it came to hitting you. It still missed because Khan was seeing it.

Maidana was swinging for the fences because he was getting totally outclassed otherwise. There was no technique in what he was doing

khan did NOT make maidan look silly. maidana was busting khan up all fight. i think your not remembering the fight.

after the first two rounds khan was running around the ring and maidana was smashing him with overhands and uppercuts on the rope.

what does it matter? well for starters, if you swing an over hand right at me, and it wiffs past my face just narrowly missing it, i'm going to make note of that right hand ... keeping my left hand up and pressed against my face. if you see it, it doesn't land, khan was narrowly avoiding it ... until he couldn't anymore.

What I'm saying is that Khan got too comfortable having bossed most of the fight. Maidana didn't do anything special or different to land that shot. Khan was coasting and hung his chin out to dry.

Khan dominated 3/4 of the fight.
