Keith Thurman should fight Kell Brook, Porter, or a top ten guy time for a gut check

Welterweight is stacked from the top to the bottom
Yeah, ali is coming off a great win over abregu, but no need to rush him.. The names you mentioned or maybe josito Lopez or Jo jo Dan, Demetrius hopkins, Kevin bazier,,, someone along those lines..

Yep...Sadam needs to beat like 2 more fringe guys, top 20 not quite top ten guys to get that seasoning and experience

I agree with the OP & everyone else, but the problem is getting a Top 10 fighter to sign on to a Thurman fight.
Much respect to Kell Brook, but most fans have short term memory. His win over Porter was impressive, but are we forgetting he pulled out of a fight with Devon Alexander multiple times because of "injury"
One Time has called out Maidana on numerous occasions. Maidana is a tough SOB, but he clearly "avoided" Thurman. Maybe we can say he felt bigger fights coming. I have no issue with his avoidance, if he knew the fight with Money May was coming. Find that hard to believe though. Golden Boy offered Thurman to Team Maidana after his loss to Devon Alexander. Team Maidana rebuttled with a not so fast, they wanted a tuneup.
I have little doubt Shawn Porter wouldn't take the fight, I just think Al Haymon would advise him not to take that bout yet. Porter probably would rematch Brooks before a Thurman showdown took place.
Hopefully 2015 produce some willing top 10 comp for Thurman. Maybe his "lackluster" (I thought he put on a Beautiful boxing expedition, but some idiots booed) performance vs Bundu will send a few ducks floating his way. I'd like a Thurman vs Timothy Bradley bout, if Haymon & Arum can put differences to the side for the fans & money. I'd also like Khan-Thurman, but thats Highly unlikely because King Khan wan wants Money May or Manolo PAC Now!!!

I think you are right. He is up with Khan and Broner as a bragger but last fought he fought a safety first fight against a harmless opponent he should have KOed. Maidana would have KOed that guy in a few rounds and Thurman should also have taken him out quickly.

I agree. I've been impressed so far with him. But its still tough to gauge if he's the real deal or not because of his lack of top level comp.

I do have questions about his chin though.

still overrating maidana huh? the mayweather honeymoon effect. maidana could easily lose to that guy. maidana's only ko'd face first brawlers at 147 like lopez and karass. stop pretending he's ggg or kovalev. he's still a crappy boxer at the end of the day.

Pacquaio fighting a espn level guy was a joke....20-0(8 kos) and moving up a weight class but yall complain about other fighters taking a risk

Who would you rather see Thurman fight Chris Algieri, Rios, or Maidana?

Porter blasts him. Kel has a great 1,2 that will test his abilities.
