  • Wladimir Klitschko has now gone from underrated to overrated. Same as many athletes.

I notice this underrated to overrated and vice versa trend is a big thing in boxing and other sports.

Tyson went from overrated to now becoming underrated by many. Claiming he 'backs' down from tougher fighters. He's 'mentally weak' and a variety of other laughable notions.

Pacquaio suffered from the same syndrome as Tyson. Going from massively overrated to now becoming underrated. People talking about Pacquaio now as if he wasn't ever in that 'Floyd tier' of talent when he very clearly was.

Kobe Bryant suffers from the same syndrome. Allen Iverson. Both great athletes that went from overrated to underrated.

Wladimir Klitschko suffers from another syndrome. The 'underrated' to 'overrated' trend. He wasn't the 'glass jaw weakling' that people made him out to be from around 2008-2012. But he sure as Hell isn't this 'top 5 H2H Monster' or 'top 10 ATG HW' that some people claim now. He's still what he was always ever since he got with Manny. A big talented power puncher with amazing skills who happens to have a very weak chin and who would get utterly murdered by any elite level fighter with an inside game and a aggressive nature.

Klit had a better chin then lennox lewis who was knocked out twice with one punch and staggered in most fights. Klit was hit 500 times by the guys that KO'd him knocked down got up and was never knocked cold like lewis and Klit ended up KO ing some of them with his brother doing in the rest

well it's down to the individual, any sane boxing fan will know how good Wlad is and in a historical context, his accomplishments, skill sets and titles compare favourably with the top 15 heavyweights of all time.

            ----from wikipedia----
Wladimir Klitschko[2] (Ukrainian [Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Klychko]; born 25 March 1976) is a Ukrainian heavyweight professional boxer. Klitschko is the current Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, lineal, WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring world champion (see List of heavyweight boxing champions.) Klitschko is the longest reigning IBF, WBA, WBO & IBO heavyweight champion in history with the most title defenses for the IBF, WBO & IBO titles. Overall, he is the second longest reigning Heavyweight Champion of all time with the second most successful career grand total title defenses with 22 (including his "super" title recognition). On 13 October 2013, Boxrec rated Klitschko as the number two pound-for-pound fighter in the world. On 15 December 2014, he reached a career peak of number two on the pound-for-pound list of The Ring. Klitschko is second on the all-time list for most heavyweight title fights with 26, behind only Joe Louis with 27. He is the younger brother of former WBC, WBO & Ring magazine heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

Since 2005 Wladimir Klitschko has been the dominant force in the heavyweight division, defeating a majority of the top heavyweights in the rankings. When Klitschko won the IBF title against Chris Byrd there were four separate Heavyweight Champions. Since then, he has unified the IBF, IBO, WBO & WBA belts and defeated the WBA Champion in recess. Following his win over Ruslan Chagaev, Klitschko was awarded the vacant Ring Magazine Heavyweight title.

Klitschko has held at least a piece of the heavyweight championship since 2006, when he won the IBF title. The most recent bout in which he claimed a piece of the undisputed title was when he won the WBA championship from David Haye in 2011.

Wlad is a bit overrated but you can't deny his dominance though. He has attributes that give him natural advantages but he still wrecks people almost every time out. He is obviously not unbeatable but there are only a handful of people out there who are capable of doing it.

overated is a opinion, just like floyd is overated, i can also sense you dont wanna show respect to wlad based off you starting off your post with your personal opinion on wlad, wlad is a all time great, so is floyds cowardly azz but if you wanna act like you dont have a agenda, just comment with fact and dont state opinion, lol, i have a agenda against floyd cuz he hasnt faced the best possible opponents out there for so many reasons, im not a ****in klit fan but at least hes tried to give us his best against the talent or non talent available today

Are you drunk or high? How was Lewis knocked out against Mccall? And yes you are right. Lewis does get hurt in every fight by massive punchers. That actually make his chin look better not worst. Since he was only knocked out twice. He took incredible punishment from Vitali,Briggs,Bruno,Mason.......he was also hit by huge shots from Tua/Tyson/Morrison. Yet not one of them knocked him out. That actually make his chin look better moron.

He also avenged both his defeats............Wlad have avenged a total of one. The one eye version of Brewster he beat up in the rematch was even worst than the cracked out Mccall Lewis beat up.
