Comments Thread For: Santa Cruz Hopes For Rigondeaux, Frampton or Quigg

WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (28-0-1, 16KOs) would like to have a unification match before moving up the featherweight division, where he plans to pursue his third divisional crown.

Santa Cruz is slated to return on January 17th, as part of the Bermane Stiverne-Deontay Wilder undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. No opponent has been named as of yet.

The featherweight division is very loaded at the moment. Santa Cruz says his debut at the weight could happen as early as May, against California rival Abner Mares.

He'll get a nasty paper cut if he try's grabbing quiggs belt. Rigondeoux should be the man he aims for.

p.s i think he should retire n e way i dont like the way he sounds, took many punches man for a young man and he seems like a good guy down to earth.

I think he should pick the lowest hanging fruit on the tree if he wants another belt. Guillermo embarrasses him like donaire, and lomanchenko and walterd kill him at 126. It would be a war between him and gradovich though.
