We haven't even had one fight yet so I'm not gonna get my hopes up for a trilogy, as awesome as that would be. Just the other day my friends who don't follow boxing as closely as me asked me who would win and I told them I go back and forth on who I think all the time. That's the beauty of it, no matter how much of a fan you are to one guy over the other, there is no way you can seriously say your guy would win with certainty until you see it.

I told my friends if I had to bet my life on one situation out of: pac winning the fight, Floyd winning the fight, or if they fought 3 times guaranteeing each one would win at least once...I'd take the third option and feel confident about it. I truly think that with the talent both of these guys have that there is no way one guy could 3-0 the other.

It'll be AT LEAST 2 bouts that is for sure. I don't care if Floyd won 12-0. They will find a way to make a rematch legitimate.

What really sucks is that no matter what happens if they fight, the amount of bitching over who lost will be worse than the bitching about the fight not happening.

If Floyd wins, the screaming and crying will be infinitely worse than if Pac wins. Even if Floyd dominates, (which I doubt) people will find something to scream bloody murder over.

On the other hand, I don't think the Floyd buttlickers would be able to handle Floyd losing.

Idk about a trilogy, if they do come to an agreement a rematch is almost guaranteed..look whp youre dealing with, Bob Arum, Top Rank. So even if Mayweather gets the better of Pac, its not gonna matter because itll be scored a draw..setn up the rematch-Split decision. Bob Arum has no problem fixing a high profile bout such as floyd/pac, then would come his "public outburst"

Has any meaningful trilogies (assuming it even happens the first time) started this late age wise? I mean Floyd turns 38 before his next fight. Manny is 36 now. With decent odds I'd probably bet against both of them having 3 fights each at this point let alone 3 against each other.
