WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (14-0, 9KOs) finally went face to face with his upcoming opponent Hisashi Amagasa (28-4-2, 19KOs). Rigondeaux is already in Japan and continues to get himself in shape. He defends his title against Amagasa on December 31st from the Bodymaker Colosseum in Osaka. The two fighters met during Rigondeaux's open workout for the local press members of Japan. Like many others who faced him, Amagasa has a good size advantage over the two-time Olympic gold medal winner.
